A Campground Thanksgiving

The Thanksgiving dinner at the conference center of the campground was way beyond our expectations! Delightful room, handsome tablecloths, linen napery, welcoming staff. The owner of the campground does this every year and had 8 big turkeys cooked to perfection for the dinner AND for people to take plenty of leftovers. Camper-guests brought mostly desserts, (I’d taken one of my cranberry-nut banana breads from our freezer at home and it fit in well)

Mmmmm Turkey!

Dinner began with the group of 60+ standing and joining hands in a big circle and someone led a thoughtful moving grace. Lovely folks at our 10-person table: sharing of stories, hometowns, professions, and praise for the food. Memorable.
