North Beach Camp Resort in St. Augustine

We’re staying at the North Beach Camp Resort about four miles outside of St. Augustine. It’s on one of the narrow barrier islands that run down the Atlantic coast from North Carolina to Florida. The campground spans the island from the Atlantic on the east to the Intercoastal Waterway on the west. Carved out of a forest of live oak and palmetto many years ago, it provides sandy, spacious, oak-covered sites that provide shade and privacy.

It’s been unusually warm for December with highs in the 70s to 80s and plenty of sunshine.

Not bad!
